This novel is not and has never been a romance. The ending has remained the same from the first draft to publication in 2020. My Name is Tryst never had a happy ending or anything resembling one. The main character dies. The novel does not, and never has included a healthy relationship between the main characters, romantic or otherwise. It's a tragic, toxic story about the devastating effects of severe child abuse, and the delicate balance between nature and nurture.

 

The author has asked readers multiple times not to call this or any other book in the RUIN universe a romance.

You will notice this novel has been shelved, tagged, and reviewed as "romance" on various review and book buying websites. None of these were approved by the author, and requests to have the title removed from romance categories on review sites such as Goodreads have been denied.
